Announcements / Houston, the FNO stats have landed
« Last post by Bryan Oates on March 17, 2019, 06:37:54 PM »
Just like our last FNO, I have the numbers from the event compiled into a spreadsheet. I'll try not to delete this one so we can track patterns in stats. Thanks to Thomas Kurien for being my assistant and compiling all these stats for me!

« Last post by Matthew Kosmoski on January 21, 2019, 03:58:36 AM »
The host of the server hosting our Teamspeak instances has indicated they need a maintenance window as part of a data center migration.  The maintenance window is Saturday, 2019-01-21 from 03z to 07z.

We do not expect the maintenance to take the entire two hour window, but we are prepared for the entire window.

I compiled the stats from the FNO for everyone that was on position. You can click the link below to view. Is this something everyone would like to see for future events?

Announcements / Approach Solo Validations - I90
« Last post by Matthew Kosmoski on January 06, 2019, 06:38:59 AM »
Effectively immediately, the I90 (HOU_APP) is available to be issued as a GRP solo validation facility as permitted by GRP 4.5(a) for S2 rated students.  Additionally, at the direction of VATUSA and pursuant to GRP 4.5(a)1, students may no longer be issued more than one GRP solo validation concurrently.

Instructors/Mentors - Please work with your students and provide the necessary transition training to allow them to work the I90 as a solo field.  Upon completion of a OTS and promotion to S3, students that were solo validated on the I90 shall be issued major endorsements.

The survey seems to be working for event ideas. Now with an added layer of security! Maybe this time I'll prevent all the "your mother" related email addresses I got last time.

Announcements / Updated ZDV LOA
« Last post by Matthew Kosmoski on November 12, 2018, 07:30:34 PM »
The visitation LOA with Denver has been updated.  The change no longer requires ZHU controller to check for ZDV CBTs prior to controlling eligible ZDV positions, but as always, we recommend you seek instruction if you're uncomfortable or unfamiliar with a position.

We would like to express our appreciation to ZDV for their efforts in updating this LOA and helping to reduce barriers to controlling!
